Pagers are available at the infant room window.
Please send only an adult from your family to drop off and pick up your child.
Our Philosophy
At Maple Grove Free Church we celebrate each child as a special gift from God.
(Psalm 127:3)
We know your children are very special to you, and they are special to us, too. It is our goal that while your child is in our care, they will experience a warm and friendly welcome, a safe environment and loving attention.
We believe that the church and home are partners in providing spiritual nurture. We are committed to working together with you to provide a solid foundation for your children. Children are never too young to learn about Jesus and His love. They will see and feel the love of Jesus through lots of hugs and simple Bible stories and songs.
Our Program
We are committed to effective ministry with children, not just providing a babysitting service.Your child begins learning very important lessons from the first day of life. We encourage you to enroll your child in the nursery as soon as possible to begin establishing the priority of regular church attendance. It’s been our experience that consistent attendance reduces the potential for separation anxiety when you leave your child. We will work together with you to help your child feel secure.
We welcome your comments, ideas and concerns!
Your Part
Our nurseries operate on a “well child” policy. Please do not bring your child if these symptoms are present:
First 3 days of a cold
Unidentified rash
Discharge from eyes or ears
Impetigo
Measles
Nasal drainage that is not clear
Fever within 24 hours
Sore throat
Diarrhea
Active chicken pox
Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
Antibiotic treatment for less than 24 hours.
When is my child well enough? If your child has…a fever of 100 or more, your child should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal.yellow or greenish nasal discharge, your child should stay home until it clears up.vomited or has diarrhea, your child should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.any rash that may be disease related or you do not know the cause, check with your family physician before sending your child to the nursery. Please be considerate of other children in our care and of your own child by keeping your sick child home. Please label all bottles, pacifiers, and diapers with your child’s name. If your child develops a contagious illness after being in the nursery (i.e. chicken pox), please call the church office at 420-6485.
Our Part
We will strive to provide a safe, loving, happy experience for your child each time you come to church. We will strive to keep the child-worker ratio at 1 to 3 in the infant room and 1 to 4 in our waddler room. We will contact you if your child remains inconsolable after 15 minutes. We ask you at that point to stay in the nursery until your child is comfortable or remove your child from the nursery.
We will notify you promptly if your child becomes ill. Should that happen, please remove your child from the nursery. There will always be adult volunteers present in both nurseries as well as teen helpers. All toys and surfaces will be sanitized frequently. Carpets are cleaned and disinfected regularly. Crackers and water will be provided to all age appropriate children. Only under special circumstances (i.e. allergies) will outside snacks be permitted.
